Billing & Insurance

At this time, all services are private pay only. This is to ensure the best care possible as we are not limited by the parameters of insurance, which limit frequency, type, and duration of services.

However, Superbills are available to submit to your insurance company for possible reimbursement.

Referrals

While not required, it is recommended that you obtain a referral from your doctor.

  • Please note: insurance companies do require a referral from your doctor if you plan to submit a claim to your insurance.

  • If you have any concerns about your child, please contact Emily to schedule an initial phone call to determine if a comprehensive evaluation is needed.

    • Home Service: specialized in-home therapy, in the comfort of your own home

    • Teletherapy: services are available anywhere in the state of Massachusetts, Rhode Island, or Florida.

  • Teletherapy is a convenient, flexible, and evidenced-based way to provide speech therapy services within the comfort of your home or other natural setting. It is important to ensure that you have access to high-speed internet, as well as a computer or device with a reliable camera and speaker.

    Benefits of teletherapy include convenience and reduced time for commuting, reduced cancellations, and flexibility scheduling due to reduced travel time.

  • It is recommended to have a current speech-language assessment, in order to provide the best therapy. However, dependent on your child’s most recent evaluation, Thrive of New England will use that evaluation to determine an appropriate treatment plan of care. If you feel your current evaluation is not meeting your child’s needs or you disagree with the findings, a new evaluation may be completed.

  • I get this question ALL the time. Teletherapy services during COVID were very different than the services that we currently provide. Since it was a state of emergency, we did not have access to all of the materials, and online platforms that are now available for use.
